The subject matter of the contract is to support commission in the assessment of feedstock for advanced biofuels, including deployment potential of new/appearing feedstocks, feedstock availability, resource competition, and sustainability issues in the context of the Renewable Energy Directive Article 3(4)152 and the corresponding Article in the recast directive.

The tasks will be performed on the contractor's premises. Meetings between the contractor and the commission will be held on commission premises in Brussels.

II.2.4)Description of the procurement:

The study should fulfill the following objectives:

— identify raw materials that could potentially be added to Annex IX of the recast of the Renewable Energy Directive,

— assist the commission in the evaluation of the list of feedstocks in parts A and B of Annex IX by conducting detailed assessments of each raw material that could be added,

— identify risks for fraud and develop fraud mitigation methodologies.
