II.2.4)Description of the procurement:

This procurement is for the appointment of a principal contractor for the construction of four new Early Learning and Childcare Centres (ELLCs) within the Renfrewshire Council area. It is envisaged that the new facilities will be constructed at, or in the vicinity of, the following locations:

— Houston Primary School, Houston,

— Kirklandneuk Community Centre, Renfrew,

— Dargavel Village, Bishopton,

— Lochfield Playing Fields, Paisley.

All facilities are programmed for delivery in August 2020. The ELCC at Houston includes for demolition of the existing facility and it is expected that the demolition works will conclude approximately 8 weeks post-handover of the new ELCC.
