ESF 2014-20 Programme Skills Support for the Workforce /redundancies employed persons aged 16 plus
The ESFA is currently working with Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) and their European Structural Investment Fund (ESIF) committees, on the provision of an opt-in offer to deliver education and training through the ESF 2014-20 programme against a number of the programme investment priorities.
IP 2.1 Skills support for the workforce /redundancies employed persons aged 16+.
The activities will support employed individuals aged 16 plus with individualised programmes of learning and support, to improve their work related skills relevant to the needs of employers and the local economy, whilst overcoming identified barriers to participation in education and support their transition toward sustained and improved employment. Additionally support will also be provided to individuals who have recently been placed under notice of redundancy or recently been made redundant to improve their work related skills and support their reengagement in the workforce.
The contracts are initially for the delivery period 1/4/19 – 31/7/21 the ESFA reserves the right to extend contracts for a period of time up to 31.12.2023 subject to funding availability, the applicants delivery performance of the contract and government policy.
Additional information: the contracting authority is the Department for Education, acting through the Education and Skills Funding Agency (the “ESFA”). The ESFA is an executive ESFA of the Department for Education, exercising functions to bring together the former responsibilities of the Education Funding ESFA (EFA) and Skills Funding ESFA (SFA) to create a single ESFA accountable for funding education and skills for children, young people and adults.
The provision will be offered through a number of lots of activity at Investment Priority (IP) and LEP level, the precise value and scope of these lots is still to be agreed with individual local enterprise partnerships and their ESIF committees and therefore the estimated value is based upon expressions of interest from LEPs and could be subject to change.
