Tender for the Provision and Implementation of an Online Collaboration and Learning Environment System.
The tool is required to support the ongoing provision of high quality, leading edge teaching and collaboration. An integral part of the online environment is the opportunity to run synchronous and asynchronous sessions for students and/or staff. These can take the form of for example but not necessarily limited to; online tutorials, lectures, meetings, discussion forums as well as the use of voice tools. Usage is anticipated across undergraduate, postgraduate, staff, corporate and leisure levels, for full and part-time students and/or staff.
The University does not intent to host the solution itself and is interested in supplier / externally hosted solutions. Further details are available within the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire.

II.2.1)Total quantity or scope:
The initial requirement is intended to be for the Warwick Business School, Centre for Professional Education and Language Centre areas of the University, with potential further usage extended across IT Services and the wider University and or international collaborations as appropriate and subject to internal approval. It is anticipated that the contract will cover such aspects as (but not limited to) licence fees, ongoing support and maintenance and training. It is anticipated that the contract will be for 3 years however the University is interested in options for a 5 year contract.

Range: between 120 000 and 175 000 GBP

Description of particular conditions: The full terms and conditions of the contract will be made available to shortlisted suppliers within the Invitation to Tender documentation. However the University of Warwick would like to bring to the attention of participants that it will be a specific condition of the contract that the successful solution provider complies with all applicable laws and standards relating to the storage, use, processing and disposal of personal and other data under the Data Protection Act 1998 and any other UK or European Law, including, without limitation, the Human Rights Act 1998.
Should data be hosted, stored or processed, used or disposed of outside of EU jurisdiction, a Safe Harbour agreement will be required. In the event that an organisation already complies with Safe Harbour provisions, evidence will be required to this effect in the form of certification and registration number.
Participants should note that the contract will be governed by the laws of England and Wales and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
