Section II: Object
Open call for tender for the establishment of a framework contract for the update and maintenance of the Parlamentarium in Brussels and for the fit-out of other visitors' facilities.
The contract refers to the fit-out of the Parlamentarium and of exhibition spaces and welcome areas: their furniture, media stations and graphical components, i.e.:
— the maintenance and repair of fit-out elements in Brussels,
— the regular update of physical exhibition contents, in particular the graphical elements,
— the supply of exhibition furniture, casings, media stations and graphics for new visitors' services/mini-parlamentaria throughout Europe.
The Parlamentarium in Brussels and the exhibition spaces in other visitors' facilities in Europe.
The present call for tender covers a combination of service (maintenance, specific tasks) and supply tasks (production of exhibition elements, new developments).
1) Maintenance of the Brussels exhibition:
The first part of the specific technical clauses refers to a general maintenance mission for the fit-out elements of the Brussels exhibition that have a communication (media stations, graphical elements) or a practical (lockers, personal media guide trolleys, floor scanners, etc.) functions. The Station Europe and Atrium visitors' hub are also integrated in the scope of this general maintenance task.
2) Production tasks:
The second part of the specific technical clauses covers a wide series of well-defined production tasks, which are required for:
a) the replacement of exhibition items damaged beyond repair, therefore requiring the re-production of fit-out elements, or part thereof. Replacement means re-production of a true copy of the original item (‘à l'identique’);
b) the regular or punctual update of some exhibition content installations;
c) the duplication of already existing exhibition elements.
3) Projects and services:
The European Parliament also wishes to be able to react swiftly to new developments or political decisions that require punctual modifications of the exhibition contents, and which may require genuinely new design solutions and/or fit-out works of a limited scale.
