Mechanical & Electrical Contractors
The contractors will be invited to tender for mechanical and electrical works that the Authority wishes to undertake, these would be direct contracts for the Authority and will mainly consist of replacement or renewal of existing services installation and or works involved with building refurbishments.
It is envisaged that there will be five contractors appointed for each lot and contractors can be appointed for multiple or single lots.
The authority operates several framework agreements with contractors and other consultants. The appointed contractor will be expected to work with them.
The authority has existing frameworks in place for Project Management, Architectural, QS Services, Structural Engineers, CDMC and M&E Engineering Services. The University has a single Major Capital Contractor for projects over GBP 1 500 000 in value and is looking to set up a framework of several building contractors for projects up to GBP 1 500 000 in value.
The Services have been divided into the following work packages (Lots):
Lot 1 — Mechanical Works up to 50 000 GBP (ex VAT) in Value
Lot 2 — Mechanical Works in excess of 50 000 GBP (ex VAT) in Value
Lot 3 — Electrical Works up to 50 000 GBP (ex VAT) in Value
