The main purpose of the contract is to provide the Commission with an updated, qualitative analysis of trade unions' practices and/or initiatives on anti-discrimination and diversity. Among the discrimination grounds enumerated in Article 19 TFEU, the study, which this contract seeks to implement, shall primarily focus on discrimination on the grounds of racial or ethnic origin (including Roma), religion or belief, as well as sexual orientation and gender identity. The main goals are then: (1) to track the main developments in trade union practices and/or initiatives on non-discrimination and equality since 2010, (2) to identify and extract the elements garnering the success of the former, and (3) to examine their potential transferability to other Member States.

II.2.4)Description of the procurement:
The selected tenderer is expected to:
— identify the indicative 15–20 most relevant trade union practices and/or initiatives for a qualitative in-depth analysis based on findings and recommendations of the 2010 trade union study,
— identify an indicative number of 25 further, new relevant trade union practices and/or initiatives that have not been covered by the 2010 trade union study,
— conduct a restricted number of qualitative and comparative case studies, of indicatively 20 trade union practices and/or initiatives that have been identified as most relevant under the previous tasks, covering all the clusters agreed on by the steering committee, with the aim of (1) identifying the elements garnering the success of the initiative and/or practice, and (2) assessing their transferability,
— organise a one-and-a-half-day conference, designed to (1) train an indicative number of 120 trade union representatives who subsequently act as trainers on the national level (i.e. ‘train the trainers’), and (2) to disseminate the results of the study among trade union representatives and other relevant stakeholders,
— produce 2 sets of publications and a slide show.
