Rochdale Boroughwide Housing strongly advises our tenants to take out insurance to cover furniture, belongings or decorations against theft, fire, vandalism and burst pipes. RBH currently offers a scheme to all RBH tenants and lease holders which offers low premiums that are added to their rent account on a weekly basis. The scheme currently has two levels of premiums, one for those over 60 and one for all other tenants. Cover available ranges from GBP 6 000-GBP 40 000. Optional covers are also available at an extra cost to insure personal belongings away from the home, hearing aids, motorised wheel chairs and pedal cycles away from the home.

At present there are 2 099 tenants and leaseholders on the scheme, our current housing stock is approximately 12 342. The scheme is administered by ourselves and we receive commission for doing so and your offer should be addressed within your proposal. Can you please ensure that details of loss adjuster’s costs are detailed within your offer.
