The overall objective of the project is to establish a specialised children hospital in Burgas, aligned with the human resources and equipment needs to provide efficient, safe and affordable healthcare services to the population in the region’s catchment area. This will involve optimising the paediatric health services capacities in one facility and contribute to implementing the National Strategic Health Plan for the paediatric sector. The guiding principle for the TA services to be provided, is to follow International and European best practice and standards in the respective areas and components of the technical assistance, and benchmark Burgas Children’s Hospital’s (BCH) future services and capacity against hospitals of comparable size and mandate.
The assignment is divided in three phases.
