The Common Services Agency (more commonly known as National Services Scotland) (‘the Authority’) acting through its division Procurement, Commissioning and Facilities is undertaking this procurement of a Hr-HPV Primary Screening and Cytology Triage Managed Service Contract on behalf of all entities constituted pursuant to the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978 (i.e. all NHS Scotland Health Boards, Special Health Boards and the Authority or other NHS Organisation established pursuant to the NHS (Scotland) Act 1978), any integrated Joint Boards established pursuant to the new Public Bodies (Joint Working) Scotland Act 2014 (collectively hereafter referred to as ‘Participating Authorities’) where applicable.

It is intended that the Hr-HPV Primary Screening and Cytology Triage will be conducted at 2 processing Laboratory Locations within NHS Scotland.

II.2.4)Description of the procurement:

The NHS Scotland Hr-HPV Primary Screening and Cytology Triage Managed Service Contract(MSC) will be awarded on a Single Contractor or Prime Contractor/Sub Contractor basis.

The MSC will include:

— Supply of sample taker and laboratory consumables and disposal;

— Transport of samples to processing laboratories;

— Hr-HPV testing equipment;

— Cytology testing equipment;

— Installation and maintenance of equipment;

— Training;

— Transfer of results to Scottish Cervical Call Recall System (SCCRS).

VI.3)Additional information:

NHS Scotland wish to enter into a Managed Service Contract for the delivery of Hr-HPV Primary Screening and Cytology Triage within NHS Scotland.

To inform the Tender Specification, NHS Scotland would welcome presentations from interested Suppliers on what their current and potential capability to deliver this Service would be.

This Prior Information Notice is to enable interested suppliers to obtain an invitation to a Supplier Presentation Session to be held at Atos, 3 Appleton Place, Appleton Parkway, Eliburn, Livingston EH54 7EZ on Tuesday 16.1.2018 between 9:30 and 16:00.

Suppliers should contact Alan Summers, Category Manager, on e-mail: to obtain further details and reserve a Presentation time.

Space is limited to a maximum of 8 Companies, each with a 30 minute presentation time-scale throughout the course of the day.

Further information is included in the attached documents, including how 8 Companies will be selected if more than 8 Companies are interested in taking part.
