Der Umweltleitfaden mit Stand: 2021 des Eisenbahnbundesamtes schreibt die Ortsbegehung und Dokumentation der Gebietseinstufung vor. Die vertraglich vereinbarten Grundleistungen beinhalten nur die Überprüfung von Bebauungs- und Flächennutzungsplänen – jedoch nicht die Erfassung der „Art der baulichen Nutzung“ im Innenbereich.
