Milltimber Replacement School (8073)
The project involves the construction of a new single storey 2 stream primary school with early learning provision to accommodate 434 pupils plus 60 nursery pupils. Internally the building will include the usual ancillary accommodation whilst externally hard and soft landscaping plus a 60 m x 40 m 3G all weather synthetic pitch is to be provided.
Section III: Legal, economic, financial and technical information
Bidders should include information relating to the entity undertaking the works for the 3 most recent years.
Level of professional indemnity insurance required: relating to claims or series of claims arising out of 1 event is 5 000 000,00 GBP.
Cover for pollution and contamination claims is required with a sub limit indemnity of 1 000 000,00 GBP.
Employer’s liability insurance cover 10 000 000,00 GBP.
Public liability insurance cover 5 000 000,00 GBP.

Question 4C.1 (40 %)
In relation to Question 4C.1 please respond to the following:
Candidates must provide evidence of their experience in managing a construction contract of similar scale and type to the Milltimber Replacement School. Confirm in what ways this past experience has informed them and how this knowledge could be utilised to the benefit of the proposed contract.
Question 4C.2 (60 %)
In relation to Question 4C.2 please respond to the following:
Candidates must provide evidence of their company’s specific procedures relating to, and how their company can positively contribute, to the following:
— quality (25 % weighting),
— time (25 % weighting),
— cost (252 % weighting),
— construction (design and management) Regulations 2015 (25 % weighting).
On projects of this type and scale.
Sections A and B of Part IV) within the attached ESPD are mandatory and carry a pass/fail element. Section C of the ESPD will be scored using the following criteria:
4 = Excellent response demonstrating clear understanding and comprehensive ability to fulfil requirements, submitting full detail how the requirements of the Council shall be achieved.
3 = Good response providing evidence of good understanding and compliance although limited detail provided for some areas.
2 = Average response providing some indication of understanding and compliance.
1 = Minimal or poor response providing little evidence of understanding or compliance.
0 = Nil or inadequate response with little or no understanding of requirement or evidence of compliance.
The Council may disqualify any candidate who fails to provide a response to any question or inadequately or incorrectly completes any question.

Aberdeen City Council proposes to take forward between 3-8 candidates to be invited to submit a tender for the Milltimber Replacement School (8073). In the event that three or less responses are received, only those who meet the qualifying criteria, as set out in this contract notice and the attached ESPD, will be taken forward.
