Market engagement or enquiry for the procurement of subsystems for the Tritium Plant of the Hydrogen-3 Advanced Technology (H3AT) Facility
UKAEA wishes to engage with potential prime contractors, SMEs, system designers and manufacturers of equipment for a Tritium Plant within the new H3AT Facility, to process tritium-bearing gaseous and liquid mixtures. Where possible, we seek to maximum use of commercially available, “off the shelf” products.
The Facility is a tool of the H3AT Project, which missions are:
— Supporting delivery of fusion as a commercial power source
— Promoting industry, academia and research companies for work related to handling tritium and other radioactive isotopes
— Providing capability for training of next generation of scientists and engineers for development of new power sources
UKAEA intend, after the engagement exercise, to issue tenders through the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) to procure Systems through several competitively tendered contracts.
The intended subsystems are:
— SDS - Storage and Delivery System
— HPS - Hydrogen chemical Purification System
— ISS - Hydrogen Isotope Separation System
— WDS - Water Detritiation System
— ADS - Atmosphere Detritiation System
— ANS - Chemical and isotopic Analysis of gaseous mixtures System
— RGM - Radiological and hazardous Gas Monitoring system
Please note: - the below link relates to the document available for the engagement exercise. It details the proposed UKAEA requirement for the future procurement activity of the subsystems and the information required,
