New Forest District Council is developing a project to implement a “smarter working” environment across the authority. The vision being to create a mobile and flexible organisation fit for the digital future through cultural change, working environment and supporting technology.

The aim is to deliver the vision to realise the following business benefits:

The Council is looking to implement smarter working across the organisation in 2 phases;

— Phase 1 will address the design and refurbishment of the south wing as well as the design planning for the east wing and north wing of the main Civic Offices located at Appletree Court, Lyndhurst.

— Phase 2 (optional) will address the refurbishment works for the east wing and north wing (Appletree Court) and any other additional NFDC owned office sites where smarter working may be extended to.
