Air Portable Morgue System
Bristol, City of.
OI have a requirement to provide specialist medical equipment that can satisfy the following criteria:
— an air portable morgue system that can be transported via currently available armed forces air transport capabilities directly to a field hospital in an operational environment. The system would be able to be set up and operated by an appropriately trained armed forces user,
— a system that provides the least possible logistic need, is easily constructed in austere environments, with little to no specialist tools and the minimum number of simple and robust. The components required to construct the complete working system, including any spares, will need to be man portable,
— the systems are expected to be available for acceptance testing in summer 2019,
— the contractor will also be required to provide maintenance, servicing repair and supply of spare parts.
OI invites industry to supply material outlining their capability to provide a complete equipment solution and all spares. Proposed contract of 5 years + option years. The Authority is intending to run a competition for this procurement at the end of April 2019. In issuing this PIN the Authority is not committing to carry out any contracting activity in relation to the requirements in this PIN.

The Authority reserves the right to amend any condition related to security of information to reflect any changes in national law or government policy. If any contract documents are accompanied by instructions on safeguarding classified information (e.g. a Security Aspects Letter), the Authority reserves the right to amend the terms of these instructions to reflect any changes in national law or government policy, whether in respect of the applicable protective marking scheme, specific protective markings given, the aspects to which any protective marking applies, or otherwise.
