VI.1)Additional information:
In addition to the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Transport, the railway vehicle company Baden-Württemberg AöR (SFBW) will be the contracting authority for various services. The vehicles with innovative propulsion systems are procured by the SFBW under the so-called “NETZ-Ortenau” model (zero emission train) in a competitive process. The NETZ-Ortenau-model is characterised by the fact that the vehicles are not only supplied but also permanently made available on a permanent basis by the manufacturer. The manufacturer shall also be responsible for the energy supply of the multiple units it offers, including the construction and operation of the necessary infrastructure, and shall guarantee their energy consumption at fixed prices. To the extent that the SFBW is responsible for various obligations within the NETZ-Ortenau model, the SFBW mandates the RU to perform these tasks. These are connected with the vehicle’s release.
The railway undertaking is eligible for TRAPICO Train Innovation GmbH, as its sole shareholder is the Land Baden-Württemberg. According to a restructuring of SWEG AG, TRAPICO is the internal operator of the Land of Baden-Württemberg within the meaning of Regulation (EC) No 1370/2007. The Land of Baden-Württemberg intends to contract TRAPICO directly with the transport performance.
