The above named client intends to use part of the proceeds of a loan from, or Grant administered by, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (‘the Bank’) for the above named project. Additional financing details are as follows:

The proposed project, which has a total estimated cost of 21 200 000,00 EUR, will require the procurement of the following:
Design and build the rehabilitation of the Lagoon in the city of Russaifa and the related infrastructure. A critical environmental infrastructure project that involves the urgent remediation and prevention of a 200 000 m2 contaminated lagoon in the city of Russeifa (15 km north-east of the capital Amman).
Tendering for the above contracts is expected to begin on 21.11.2019.
Contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from/grant administered by the Bank will be open to firms from any country.
The proceeds of the loan from, or Grant administered by, the Bank will not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, of for any import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations or under a law or official regulation of the Client's country.
Tendering for this project will be conducted by eProcurement using the EBRD Client eProcurement Portal (ECEPP). Prospective participants who have registered in ECEPP and expressed an interest in the contract may access the documents and may request clarification and further information from the client through ECEPP. Other information: the proposed project, which has a total estimated cost of 16 000 000,00 JOD (20 300 000 EUR equivalent), will require the procurement of the works and services:
— decommissioning of the existing contaminated lagoon,
— construction of a new stormwater drainage system inside the lagoon,
— construction of a new underground water conveyance system to restore the storm waters pathway back into its original destination,
— ancillary infrastructure including a water reservoir and a pedestrian bridge tendering for the above contracts is expected to begin in December 2019.
Contracts to be financed with the proceeds of the EBRD loan and investment grants will be subject to the Bank's Procurement Policies and Rules Rev. November 2017
