This contract will aim to support the European Commission with the environment-related knowledge needed to engage in constructive conversation with the Member States during the preparation of their CAP strategic plans (CAP SP).

This contract aims to complement the work to be carried out within the European Commission that will be screening, assessing and providing feedback on the drafts of CAP SP.

The contract entails providing detailed support relative to the ex-ante analysis of country-specific of environmental objectives by preparing individual fiches per Member State. It will also provide an analysis of the current needs/challenges for the environmental objectives and in light of the Commission’s Recommendations for environmental related specific objectives and taking into account the European Green Deal. Following the submission of the draft CAP strategic plans, this contract will support DG Environment in the assessment of the environmental-relevant parts of the draft CAP SP.
