The objective of this contract is to provide technical support to the Commission in the implementation of the EU Natura 2000 award scheme. The aim of this communication initiative is to recognise excellence in the management of Natura 2000 sites and conservation achievements across EU, showcasing the added value for local economies and people's well-being. In addition this award aims at increasing awareness of the wider public regarding the Natura 2000 and the EU nature and biodiversity policies but also to enable people to learn more and to feel proud of nature protection initiatives and concrete good examples in the places they live.
